James J. Adams, aged 85, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026.
Jim proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Green Beret and paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. A proud graduate of the North Catholic High School Class of 1960, he went on to dedicate 44 and a half years of service to the United States Postal Service. Jim was a passionate, lifelong Penn State fan and spent decades investing in his community especially St. George Catholic School and Parish; where he became everyone's Pop. He coached baseball and all sports, notably founding the Franklin AC and volunteering extensively with the Olney AA, taking multiple teams to the City Championship at the Vet.
He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine/Sissy (nee Mullen) for 46 wonderful years. Jim was the loving father of Cathy Adams, Traci Marie Wade (Kevin), and James Adams, Jr. (Kellyanne). He will be deeply missed by his fiancée, Joan Tanghe, and was a loving second father to Joan's children, Dennis-Mike Tanghe and Brianna Pizzileo (Anthony).
